Will you become a 100 Empowered Woman?
YWCA Rock County has launched a new campaign called 100 Empowered Women (formerly known as the 100 Caring Women Campaign) with the goal of raising the first $100,000 or more towards YWCA Rock County's Strengthening & Vision Fund. This will have long-term positive impact on the entire community, especially women and children, and it would be great if you were a part of it. Adding to this excitement and helping to drive this campaign has been the purchase of land adjacent to the YWCA, made possible through a generous anonymous donor. “The opportunity to expand our property creates new ways to serve our community and grow our programs. In order to take on a capital campaign in the future, we want to be stronger and continually improve” said YWCA Rock County Executive Director, Heidi Deininger.
Community members can participate by donating a one-time gift of $1,000 or more, or a 3-year pledge of $336 annually or $28 per month. To celebrate this coming together of passionate and engaged donors, a special event will be held at Timber Hill Winery on April 16, 2024; the event is complimentary and open to all participating in the 100 Empowered Women campaign. Invitations with details will be sent soon. At this exclusive event you will be able to hear a ‘sneak peek’ of the remarks from the 2024 Women of Distinction and learn more about the YWCA’s plans for the future.
Each individual that donates $1,000 will have their name listed on the YWCA's website and on location at the YWCA Rock County. This is also an opportunity for someone to make a gift in honor of a woman, or to remember a woman special to them.
Find out more and get started now by visiting https://bit.ly/100EmpoweredWomen and click on start fundraising. This will give you easy step-by-step prompts to guide you through setting up your personal fundraising link (if you wish) that you can use to share with your friends and family to join your fundraising efforts. Or, you can donate directly to the campaign. YWCA Rock County is at 30% of their goal. Can you help them get to 100%? Together, we can create a movement and legacy of empowerment.
Our Vision
Now, in 2024, it is time to launch our next 100 years. The staff and board have done a careful and strategic analysis of the needs of women in our community and how we can best meet them, in a way that also allows the YWCA to remain financially solid and sustainable.
YWCA Rock County Vision Fund
The Vision Fund will prepare YWCA Rock County for its next 100 years of service to the community by strengthening its foundation for the future – evolving and innovating our programs and services to ensure that we can continue to make a positive impact on the lives of women we serve for generations to come.
The goal is to raise $500,000 to develop and implement short-and long-term plans to deliver services in a way that meets needs and makes the best use of resources.
Within a few weeks, the first $100,000 was raised. YWCA Rock County is also bringing back 100 Empowered Women Campaign (previously called the 100 Caring Women Campaign), which raised $100,000 for the current building more than 20 years ago. The 2024 version,100 Empowered Women, is expected to raise more than $100,000 for the Vision Fund.
