Child Care on Non-School Days

YWCA Rock County offers an all day program when school is not in session in Janesville. This does not apply to holidays or weekends. These days include parent-teacher conferences, winter and spring breaks, etc. The Non School Day (NSD) program requires a separate schedule and fee. The program is held at the YWCA and is open to all children enrolled in our Before and/or After School Programs. Since space is limited, enrollment is on a first-come, first-serve basis.Students bring a sack lunch and the YWCA provides a morning and afternoon snack.

The NSD program charges a daily rate. Hours are 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM. NSD rates are $45/day. When possible, the YWCA may offer a “snow day” program on days when school may be canceled due to severe weather.

How to sign up

Non School Day sign up forms are available at each school site and must be filled out and turned in the Thursday BEFORE the Non School Day.

Snow Days

If school is cancelled, the YWCA Before & After School Child Care Program will not operate at the schools. If school is cancelled prior to the start time, call the YWCA at 608-752-5445 ext. 107 to check availability for child care. Sign up is on a first-call, first served basis. If the YWCA is closed due to severe weather which makes it dangerous for staff to travel, a snow day will not be offered.
